Common Questions

Are estimates really free?

Yes. We'll come out, look at the problem, explain what we see and give you a written estimate with no obligation.

How long does foundation repair take?

On average, most residential pier jobs take 1 to 3 days. Crack repairs and concrete leveling are often done in a single day. Every home and every job is different, though, so the timeline in your written estimate will be the most accurate.

Are you insured?

Yes. Alex Foundation Repair carries liability insurance through R&S Agency Inc.

Do I need to be home during the work?

Not always. For exterior work you usually don't need to be home. For interior work we'll coordinate access with you ahead of time.

What causes foundation problems in the Kansas City area?

Our expansive clay soil is the biggest culprit. It swells when wet and shrinks during dry spells, which moves your foundation. Poor drainage, plumbing leaks and tree roots make it worse.
